Oba Saburee Babajide Jamolu II passed away on the 14th day of June 2023 at the age of sixty-two.

The people of Gbagura land have been thrown into mourning of a king who has barely spent four years on the throne of his father’s. Who would have been sixty-three in a few days and who had left them so young when they needed him most.

The late ruler was a graduate of Ibadan Polytechnic and a retired superintendent of the Nigerian Customs Service and astute business man, before his ascension to the throne of his fathers.

He would be missed.
